Enjoying the show
90’s Country and 80’s Rock
My heart was full.
Then I saw you.
Thought, at least my subconscious knew it wasn’t you.
After I asked to take her up front with her sign,
Hoping Jo Dee would see,
You were the only thing I could see.
The only thing I could hear.
The only thing I could feel.
It was just you,
Singing with Jo Dee.
Holding you up with your sign,
Hoping you would be seen.
In that moment is the only place I wanted to be.
Your dreams came true,
Jo Dee signed your sign,
And I was the happiest momma alive.
We danced and sang the whole night through.
Jo Dee reminded us of the important things in life.
But somewhere in the middle of the show,
I realized it wasn’t you.
That realization,
I felt like I had the wind knocked out of me.
In the encore you reminded me you were still there,
Even if I couldn’t hold you.
Because I would have taken you to see Jo Dee.
Even though you weren’t in my arms,
You came with me,
To see Jo Dee.
