NaPoWriMo – Unclear Memory

I was walking through the park
that warm summer day
clearing the chaos from my head.
For once it wasn't a crisis,
Just all the little day to day things.

It wasn't the music I was listening to,
It wasn't the beauty of the nature surrounding me,
But maybe some combination of the two
That finally put my mind at ease.

Leaving the park, I suddenly stopped.
A butterfly had caught my eye.
The beautiful wings spoke to me,
And it was then that I knew.
It wasn't the music or the beauty that had calmed me.
It was you.
