Lyrical Logic

Necessary for survival
I will literally die without it.
No matter how hard I chase it
I can’t seem to reach it on my own. 

No matter how hard I try, 
It just doesn’t come naturally. 
Am I broken? 
Defective? 

I lack the chemicals I need
They say it isn’t as abnormal as it feels. 
I can get the chemicals, 
I’ll just have to settle for the store bought variety. 

I don’t know if I’ll ever reach it on my own, 
But I’ll keep trying
In the hopes that one day, 
One day, 
The supplements won’t be needed.
