NaPoWriMo #17

It won't stop running. 
No matter what the doctor gives me,
My brain can't quiet down.
So many thoughts fight to be heard
I can't focus on just one.
Self-medicating.
Someone suggested it.
But with what?
I guess it could be worse.
So you light one up,
You inhale,
Deeply.
It takes a few minutes for it to kick in.
But as soon as it does
Your brain quiets down.
You can focus on one thought.
Is this what normal feels like?
I guess it's time to self-medicate.
After all,
All I want
Is a quiet brain.
