I’m having wrist surgery the first Friday in May. I’ve had a torn tendon for a few years now, and conservative treatment only brings temporary relief. So, I am biting the bullet and going in to get it surgically repaired. They will also be killing the nerve so that way if I re-injure the tendon it won’t hurt as bad. So my life is going to be pretty interesting over the summer.
Six weeks in a full arm cast, with the inability to use my right (dominant) hand/arm at all. What sucks even more is that I’ve just started my sourdough journey. Here comes me begging friends to help me mix my starter and helping me bake things. I think the thing that has me the most upset about everything is that I’m starting a small patio garden this year. I’m also planting a lilac bush and will need to get all of that started and put in appropriate containers before surgery. I tend to procrastinate these things, so here’s hoping I don’t blow it.
It’s hard to believe it’s already almost March. I have a trip planned for later in March and I’m so excited for it. My second niece is expected sometime in April, and two of my cousins graduate this year from high school. It’s going to be a busy few months. But I know it will be a great wild ride.
I’m spending the next week working really hard to put the final file together for my book publish. I’m beyond excited for the opportunity to do it. Now that I’ve got some extra time this week, I’m sure that I’ll be able to complete it and be able to relax about it.
Here’s to a wild and crazy 2025. What else can I possibly work in?
