Break It Right: Raw Poetry About Closure and Betrayal

If you were going to break my heart,
You could have broken it clean.
I don’t want to want you back—
But I do.

I don’t want to believe you loved me.
I want to know you never did.
Don’t be gentle—
Throw it from the highest building.
Double tap,
Make sure it’s dead.

After all the pain you put me through,
The least you could have done
Was break my heart
Right.
